GSP is actually just me, Steven Bryant. This is my ASCAP publishing name, and a moniker for my compositional activities.
It stems from a short film I saw at MoMA in New York around 1997, in which a rather masculine woman is trying to order a salad in a restaurant. The waiter mistakes her for a man, and her companion is aghast. Our protagonist is unfazed, however, and utters the soon to be immortalized phrase, "All I wanted was a salad."
